The Beatles' Apple Corp and EMI announced release of a limited-edition USB flash drive containing a ton of newly-released digital goodies, including:

• The entire 'Beatles in Stereo' remastered set (14 albums) in 320kbps MP3
• 13 mini documentary films in MPEG4 format
• Photo gallery of full album artwork and other images

The Beatles USB drive is housed in an aluminum apple and will be a limited release of only 30,000 units, $239 each on Amazon.com and other retailers.  They will go on sale on December 8th.

So what's the big hoopla? Why so special?  Well, Apple Corp (pronounced 'Apple Core'), not to be confused with Steve Jobs Apple Inc., which is the Beatles' company handling everything Beatles, has never allowed any Beatles music to be sold digitally.  So it's never been on iTunes or anywhere else in MP3 format - until now.  This custom USB drive is the only way to LEGALLY acquire Beatles MP3's.
